Butwal, The 17th Rotaract District Conference of Rotaract District 3292 has concluded. The conference was held for 02 days, from 19th to 20th Paus, at the International Conference Center in Butwal. Organized by Rotaract District 3292, hosted by Rotaract Club of Butwal South and co-hosted by 20 different clubs across the country, the conference attracted more than 1,400 participants and focused on youth leadership, involvement, and entrepreneurship. The conference inspired the participants to use their energy in nation building.
The program was chaired by former President and Conference Chair Ritesh Gyawali of Rotaract Club of Butwal South and co-chaired by President of the hospitality club Rotaract Club of Butwal South, Sudip Poudel. The district session was chaired by DRR Vikram Chhetri of Rotaract District 3292. The chief guest of the program was Dr. Chandra Bhandari was present, while the special guests included Butwal Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Khelraj Pandey, IP DG Rajendra Dhavju, DRCC Krishna Prasad Pandey, and IP DRR Roshan Karki. DRR Bikram Chhetri informed about the Rotaract activities carried out by the Rotaract District since he took over the leadership, while DRR Elect Dinesh Gaire presented his team for the year 2025-26. In the election process for the leadership of the year 2026-27, Prakash Sharma of Rotaract Club of Bhairahawa was elected and declared DRR for the year 2026-27, informed Resham Khadka, DRC member and member of the election committee. At the event, Kulman Ghising, Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, discussed energy management and its role in Nepal’s transformation. Manoj Gyawali, Senior Deputy CEO of Nabil Bank, emphasized the importance of financial literacy and youth entrepreneurship, stressing that if you believe in your own capabilities rather than relying on others, you will definitely succeed. Ramji Adhikari, Founder of Manav Sewa Ashram, discussed the inspiring work of social service and humanitarianism. Prabhesh Rai, HR and Strategy Expert of Shine Resunga Development Bank, presented his experience on youth leadership and sustainable development in banking.
In a panel session titled Youth, Politics and the Future Country, MPs Gyanendra Shahi, Thakur Gaire, and Sanjay Kumar Gautam had a dynamic discussion on the challenges and opportunities of political leadership for youth. The speakers emphasized the importance of active participation of youth in governance, policymaking, and social transformation. They called on young leaders to build a transparent and inclusive political system.
The Mind Management Panel session was attended by ISKCON Nepal Secretary Rupeshwor Gaur Das, Spiritual Trainer Chaitanya Krishna and Mental Health Motivator Shreya Giri. The panel focused on emotional resilience and peace of mind. Experts presented various methods to manage stress, maintain self-confidence and mental balance. Former Rotaract Club of Butwal South Presidents Nishan Karki, Yadav Bhattarai, Jiwan Gautam, Dhruv KC, Amrit Bhusal and Bhupen Pandey played an important role in organizing the conference. Various sessions and programs of the conference were conducted by District Secretary Subin Khadka, Assistant District Secretary Anup Pandey, Media Coordinator Abiskar Khanal, ADLT Abhishek Parajuli, and Rotaract Club of Butwal South Vice President Roshni Bhandari as the program directors. Media Coordinator Abiskar Khanal informed that the musical program held on the evening of the first day of the conference featured a unique musical performance by singer Basanta Shrestha and the French Band and Star Entertainment, and that Rotatorians from all over the country enjoyed the musical performance.
